So, I'm doing much better than last year: 10'124 words as of now instead of 1'219 the 6th of 2009 XDDDD To be fair, I didn't began writing before the 5th last year, when I already wrote 2'204 words on the first day this year! ;p This time I only missed writing two days.

Also, people are awesome here! You know I moved this year, from Brittany to the French Alps, and since I'm so close from Switzerland, I registered on the Nanowrimo Swiss forums (for the French, there's only Paris >_<). So we organized meetings in Switzerland!

I've already gone to three meetings: one pre-Nano on the 30th in Geneva, the kick off on the 1st, in Lausanne and my first write-in today, in Geneva!

Today was great! I met four others Nanowrimo'er, spoke more English that I ever did in my whole life, hogged a whole corner of the Starbucks from 9.00 am to 8.00 pm and drank several fabulous Iced Chai Tea Latte. Also, I caught up with my word count: 3'000 words this afternoon, not too bad! Especially as we probably spent more time speaking that writing XD

What fun! I want to go to one of my local write-ins (it's just a couple of miles away, not another country *g*) but don't know if I'll manage it. Yay on the word count!

I didn't get to go to a write-in when I was in Brittany: there wasn't any meetings but I managed to make a few friends while following the Nanowordsprints on Twitter.

But really, write-ins are so much more fun! We spent half the day talking about everything and anything and then writing in silence, all with very serious faces ^__^

So, it's an amazing experience. If you can attend at least one, don't hesitate! (especially if it's not too far ;p )

By the way, what are you writing about? Fanfic or really an original novel?

I'm writing an original novel--a sequel to last year's Stasis.

I did go to a local kick-off party, and that was fun.
